Dwight Howell is the Director of Architecture & Store Planning at Best Buy, where he leads teams responsible for translating retail strategy into scalable store environments that enhance customer experience, operational effectiveness, and business performance across the enterprise. With a foundation in urban planning and urban design, Dwight brings a unique perspective to the intersection of people, place, and the built environment. His career spans leadership roles in architecture, store design, planning, operations, and engineering across organizations including Target Corporation and Eurofins. He is also a former U.S. Army Major and Special Operations veteran, where he led engineering and infrastructure initiatives in complex and dynamic environments. Dwight holds a Bachelor of Science in Planning from Arizona State University, a Master in City Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His professional interests include urban planning, urban design, organizational leadership, innovation, and the application of systems thinking to solve complex business challenges.
