Vivek Farias

MIT Professor & Co-Founder, CTO Cimulate

Vivek Farias is the Patrick J. McGovern (1959) Professor at MIT Sloan and faculty co-director of the MIT Generative AI Impact Consortium. His research spans optimization and inference in large-scale stochastic systems, with applications from supply chains to protein networks. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and has received the NSF CAREER Award, multiple INFORMS prizes, and MIT Sloan’s Outstanding Teacher Award. Outside academia, he co-founded Celect (acquired by Nike) and is now Co-Founder and CTO of Cimulate, an AI-native commerce platform.
