Amanda Effron is a visionary and proven leader who is dedicated to transforming the ways IKEA U.S. operates today and in the future. As Chief Digital Officer at IKEA U.S., Amanda guides nearly 17,000 co-workers in the digitization of the IKEA physical footprint. Together with her team and global partners, Amanda defines and executes the digital strategy the US will employ to better support the business. She is responsible for delivering growth and productivity through modernizations and technology.

She launched her IKEA journey leading the Customer Domain Product team and served as the interim Digital Portfolio and Deployment Manager for the IKEA U.S. Digital Hub. In her role, Amanda and her teams developed and deployed customer-centric digital products to better meet the needs of IKEA U.S. customers and cultivate the omnichannel business. Her trajectory prior to IKEA includes leading the digital practice and transformation at Pep Boys, overseeing all digital touchpoints across web and stores. With over 17 years of experience delivering multi-faceted digital growth strategies and customer solutions for major companies like David’s Bridal and Boathouse Sports—Amanda’s expertise and passion are vital to the continuous evolution of IKEA.

Amanda lives into the IKEA value of renew and improve, knowing that whatever is being done today can be done better tomorrow. When she is not digitizing the ways we experience retail, Amanda is outdoors taking in hikes, horseback rides and enjoying time with her beautiful son Jamey.
