Marc Mathies is the Senior Vice President, Marketing Technology and General Manager of NXTDRIVE at RR Donnelly. He leads a cross-functional team focused on the development and launch of NXTDRIVE, an industry-first customer data marketing platform that combines first-party data management and marketing activation from a single partner and solution for precise targeting and media delivery across print and digital channels.
He has held several leadership roles and most recently was Vice President of Digital Products, where he led product management for digital coupons, omnichannel advertising solutions, product innovation and strategy.
Mathies has an extensive, 30-year background in digital and print marketing and specializes in leveraging consumer insights and data to help some of the largest brands in the U.S. drive high return on advertising investment. He is an expert in helping large, traditional companies transition to their digital future early on with electronic publishing workflows, and later with digital advertising and marketing technologies.
Prior to joining RR Donnelly, Mathies served in several roles over 17 years at Crain Communications, a Detroit-based publisher and news producer, helping launch the company’s digital portfolio, including web, mobile, social and email for over 30 online properties.
Mathies earned a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Baker College. He lives in metropolitan Cleveland, Ohio.
