After her daughter was born, new mom Monica Royer wanted to know that the clothing and blankets that touched her daughter’s skin would come from the softest, most trustworthy fabrics available. When she couldn’t easily find those products, she decided to make them herself. Royer’s experience advising her brother, Andy Dunn, Founder of Bonobos, combined with her passion for fashion and dresses (her mother handmade most of her clothing growing up) inspired her to build the go-to children’s brand for informed parents and gifters who expect the best. Monica + Andy offers organic essentials for kids and babies, along with kids’ classes and events for new and expecting parents in their seven Guideshops around the country. With a young daughter at home, Royer has made it her personal mission to empower other female entrepreneurs and young girls to reach their potential. Through online channels like her podcast The Mentor Files, and through The Monica + Andy Girls Foundation, she hopes to pay forward the support she received as a budding female entrepreneur.
