Thomas Lee is the business enterprise reporter at The Boston Globe. He was a business columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle and has written for the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and Seattle Times.
His work, especially in retail, has been recognized several times, including the 2013 Gerald M. Loeb Award for Breaking News, the highest honor in business journalism, two Best in Business Awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, and Best Opinion Writing from the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He is author of "Rebuilding Empires: How Best Buy and Other Retailers Are Transforming and Competing in the Digital Age of Retailing " (St. Martin's Press) and "The Bruce Lee Code: How The Dragon Mastered Business, Confidence & Success" (Career Press). Rebuilding Empires won a bronze medal in business commentary at the 2014 Axiom Business Book Awards. The Bruce Lee Code was named a finalist in the best motivational business book category for the 2023 International Business Book Awards.
Lee was also lead curator and editorial director for the Chinese Historical Society of America's We Are Bruce Lee exhibit in San Francisco Chinatown.
