Wombi Rose is the co-founder and CEO of Lovepop, a design company on a mission to create one billion magical moments by building the #1 online destination for greeting cards in the U.S. Trained as a naval architect at Webb Institute and in Computation for Design and Optimization at MIT, Wombi began his career at McKinsey & Company, consulting with global energy and shipping companies before earning his MBA at Harvard Business School. There, he and his co-founder John Wise were inspired by sliceform paper art on a trip to Vietnam—an idea that led to the founding of Lovepop and its signature Slicegami™ art x engineering approach to creating beautiful 3D cards. Since earning an investment from Kevin O’Leary on Shark Tank in 2015, Lovepop has grown from a three-person startup into a nationally-recognized brand and one of the top ten Shark Tank companies by lifetime retail sales.
